Gym Time

As we get older, one of the hardest things to do is stay in shape. It feels like every article you read emphasizes a different thing… “you are what you eat”, “just burn it off” “The balance between cardio and weight lifting”… the list goes on and on. While I was jogging I was thinking about all of that and what I ate earlier in the day. As I was jogging so was my mind. Then I asked myself, “Why am I doing this?” Well to stay healthy obviously. “Well I’m working out everyday, going hard, eating decent… why don’t I look like a Swedish underwear model?” Then the next thought I have is what kind of beer am I drinking tonight? There it is… maybe if I stop drinking 5 beers and smashing a burger after I workout I would look how I think I should. Oh well, life is all about balance. I like beers and burgers. I guess I will continue to workout to just stay the way I am so I can continue drinking beers. Alright with that! Motivation!

Nice Weather

You can smell the warm weather in the air, and I don’t know about you guys but that smell makes me thirsty. Thirsty for a buzz and a good time. This weekend was a taste of it. Put those responsibilities on hold, I did #SorryNotSorry #NoRegerts #StillBuzzin, I’ll tell you that for free… and crack some cold ones. If the sun is out keep the beers are ice, if the summer rain won’t stop the 22 oz. drafts at your local pub are always ice cold for happy hour.

Booze Bags

Was at the airport and a guy next to me was on the phone with his friend and says, “Buddy I was off the sauce all week… well Monday thru Wednesday… yeah then got after it on Thursday, but that was three days of progress.” Then we made eye contact and just gave each other a slight nod. Fellow booze bags find each other.
